The company raised my homeowner's insurance (I can't get private homeowner's insurance yet because I got the house back after they sent me a foreclosure sale date and didn't sell and left it sitting abandoned for 2 1/2 years and it needs repairs I can't afford). It went up over $320 in one month.

My homeowner's insurance is now costing me over $500 per month and my payment went from $616 to $998 in two months. What was the purpose in all my efforts to modify my loan and keep my home???? I am a single mother and a school teacher in SC. I get paid $1300 twice a month.

I can't make a $998 house payment. I just can't.

Addendum:. They sent me a letter saying the insurance they provide will be $1600/year.

Taxes are $720/year. HOW can my escrow be over $500/month when that only equals less than $200/month?????
