Shellpoint Mortgage Servicing is ripping me placing lender placed insurance when they paid for the insurance for the year from escrow in advance.

Shellpoint wrongfully charged me for lender placed insurance and took 0ver $25,000,000.00 from my bank account stating they had placed lender placed insurance when that is incorrect. Insurance for these properties was paid by Shellpoint June 2021 from escrow for the year not to expire until June 2022.

DUE TO MEDICAL REASONS I'M UNABLE TO WORK (SEIZURES, STROKE, HEART ATTACK). WE APPLIED FOR MORTGAGE ASSISTANCE OR TO HAVE OUR LOAN MODIFIED TO MAKE THE PAYMENT MORE AF.FORDABLE.

LONG STORY SHORT, WE WERE DENIED ANY ASSISTANCE AND TOLD THEY COULD DO NOTHING TO HELP US BECAUSE WE DID NOT HAVE ENOUGH INCOME AND WERE NOT BEHIND ON OUR PAYMENTS. THE ONLY WAY THEY WOULD CONSIDER HELPING IS IF WE WERE MORE THAN 3 MONTHS BEHIND ON OUR PAYMENT AT WHICH TIME THEY COULD START FORECLOSURE. ALTHOUGH THEY HAVE POSTED ALL OVER THEIR WEBSITE THAT HELP IS AVAILABLE AND THEY WILL DO WHATEVER IT TAKES TO HELP YOU STAY IN YOUR HOME. SEEMS LIKE THE ONLY THING THEY ARE TRULY INTERESTED IN IS FORECLOSING ON AND TAKING YOUR HOME FROM YOU, NOT HELPING YOU STAY IN YOUR HOME.

HAVE BEEN TOLD OVER AND OVER AGAIN THERE IS NOTHING THEY COULD DO TO HELP UNLESS WE HAD $3000 MORE A MONTH INCOME.

IF I WAS ABLE TO WORK WE WOULD HAVE $3000 MORE PER MONTH INCOME AND I WOULDN'T BE APPLYING/ASKING FOR ASSISTANCE. I'VE BEEN HUNG UP BY SEVERAL CUSTOMER SERVICE PERSONS, IF THAT'S WHAT YOU WANT TO CALL THEM.

I am divorced from my ex and my financial information and social is tied to a mortgage still after three years of newly being married. I am about to take this mortgage company to court for keeping me on a mortgage that has a court order to be removed by divorce. Shame on them and the ex.

Shellpoint has cashed tax refunds on my loan from the county and then claim to have never received it. My mortgage statement has been a different amount each month. I have had to go to my county tax assesment office to get copies of the checks for shellpoint to track what they have already taken.

Worst mortgage company ever

Stay away! Let me serve this as a warning. I could never speak to anyone regarding my mortgage that knew what they were talking about. The website was faulty and I could never look at my payments or account. I was constantly bounced around from person to person. I was also scammed by someone claiming to be from Shellpoint regarding refinancing. When i reached out to Shellpoint for assistance, they couldn't have cared less. Customer service is NON-EXISTENT. I am so glad to be done with them. They are shady and despicable.

Below Poor service and stalling technique they use.

THE WORST EVER. They have been holding a check for a roof repair starting in July 202, it is now the MIDDLE Of November.

They have given me the run around while they hold the money from the insurance company. I was told that it would be cashed and put into an account. They have been collecting interest on the money for the last two months at least. They request paperwork and when you fax it.

You don't hear from them. But when you call back to check they have an excuse, Example: we did not receive the fax. Or you need to sign this. But when asked, there is always something else; I have been waiting for a Doc Sign by E-mail for the past three or more weeks.

The excuse they gave was we sent to your email we have on record, even though I Have updated my email information.

I checked all of my emails and I and there was nothing there.

The frustration is growing with each conversation. I try not to take my frustration out on the person(s) I speak with, I do not know how much longer I can put up with this poor company

They trying to take my house got a letter saying it was still under review but got a phone call today telling me to bring it current or they will start foreclosure telling me my loss modification was denied but the letter is saying is still under review so I don’t know what to do except go to the bank and borrow money to make it current

We had asked for a forbearance in 2020 due to loss of income with COVID shutdowns. We were told that we could skip payments for three months and we would review at that point. At the end of three months, we were told to make a payment of the three months of mortgage. Got a loan modification to catch up on payments. In Feb 2021, my husband submitted payment, it was returned. Told it was the wrong amount. Asked to have them take it again with correct amount, told no. Loan modification was cancelled. Been trying to get a new one in place, and paperwork keeps getting "lost". Just sent another packet of paperwork for loan modification last week. Today served legal documents via US mail house is going into foreclosure judgement at end of month. There was a court date yesterday we were not notified about. I want an amount that will make loan current or I want a loan modification they will honor. There were two letters of amount to make current in the paperwork, we only saw first one, when my husband called to pay it were told that amount had expired and they would have to tell us new total.

Fraud is word that pops in my head when I hear ShellPoint

I am finding every platform I can to post my review. This has to be the worst Mortgage company around. Below is a synopsis of my last 3 months. Keep in mind, all of our payments were made and we have clear documentation. (this is email sent to them and I don't even care everyone know my business - this company needs to be shut down... Sadly because their pockets are so deep - we cannot even sue them. I would like a clear understanding, why it is that I have made my payments and yet there is an escrow shortage. Isnt it your responsibility to take care of that. It is my job to pay you each month and then you disperse funds where needed? Let me break down my last 3 months. January waiting 1 ½ hours on hold with Bankruptcy department and reached NO ONE plus Multiple contacts of back and forth with my lawyer. February waited 2 different times to reach Bankruptcy department 45 minute hold first time and second time 2.44 hours reached NO ONE - Multiple contacts of back and forth with my lawyer. March reached Leslie who transferred me to Terrel (superviser) who gave me Ms. Shercoria phone number 864-248-****.. Tried to help me but by third call her number was disconnected and I was back to square 1. I sent Attorney consent forms 4 times to loan servicing and loss mitigation and still NO ONE can talk to me. I wrote letters and sent email nothing returned I am attaching proof of all my payments to you, something I have showed my lawyer several times, as well as confirmation numbers for payments made. Still same answer Payments were not made and escrow short? I received a letter from you stating that Brittaney was a point of contact (877-306-****) again she knew nothing, had no answer and was unable to help me or even knowledge of how to help (you guys hire some winners). She requested Bankruptcy department to call me agaiBullshitn nothing Today I spoke to Monika in the Bankruptcy department who knew nothing.. She mumbled (very unprofessional) her way through a written script, having no actual clue what she was saying AGAIN passing the buck on to someone else (thus my email to you). I was charged $350 for a lawyer bill, that was due to something you guys have done on your end. Why would I have control over an Escrow Shortage?. This is pure incompetency on your end. On 2-11-2021 I was charged a NSF Fee but I called in my payment, so how could there be an NSF? I want to speak to someone to get an understanding on why? Why did the lawyer say we were $2,925.64 behind? Why was our escrow not current? Why have I not received January, February or Marchs billing statement? Why has no one tried to make contact with me to clear this up, after repeated attempts on my part? WHY AM I SHOWING BALANCE ZERO and your lawyers are spinning a different story? Attached is a copy of loan payments. A copy of what your lawyers sent me. The letter from your office. It clearly states in your own documents that by Federal Law, we are entitled to resolving any errors in the servicing of our loan. It also clearly states by Federal Law that we are entitled to all documents and statements for our loan something you have failed miserable in getting to us. We have paid our payments and under the Civil Relief Act and certain state laws the failure on your end is beyond gross neglect. We demand timely answers to our questions.

$20 Return Payment Fee

I received a letter from NewRez stating that you were notified of a returned item from my financial institution in the amount of $1866.61 and that NewRez had assessed a $20 return payment fee. I disagree with this assessment because according to my financial institution, Bank of America and NewRez's website, my September mortgage was made on September 1st, in the amount of $1866.61.

First, I was told that the payment was returned because the account had been closed, which means NewRez tried to debit my September mortgage payment from my old bank. The second time I called, which was today, I was told that the fee had to do with NSF. That would have been true if you were trying to debit my old bank account at Agriculture Federal Credit Union.

Here's the deal, until September 1st, my mortgage had been debited, by NewRez, from my Agriculture Federal Credit Union account. I notified NewRez, online, to debit my mortgage payments from Bank of America, beginning September 1st, as my AgFed account would be closed.

I need someone to call me about this.

The letter also directed me to send certified funds totaling $1886.61, to replace the returned item. NewRez is automatically debiting my checking account for payment.

Why should I pay a $20 fee for a payment you received?

Ditech forwarded my modification to NewRez and even though they say they are here to help, when I tried to refinance they kept requesting the same documents, never return phone calls or respond to e-mails.

Don't know where they received their training. Extremely unprofessional and discourteous.

They sure give you the run around. I arranged autopay with my bank and perfect record no late payments and credit score was 723, yet they declined my request for refinancing and charged a $525.00 appraisal fee. I am now demanding a refund but nobody returns my phone calls or responds to my e-mails. However, within three weeks Quicken Loans/Rocket Mortgage refinanced, paid off my debts and gave me a tidy sum.

They were the most courteous and professional team.

I highly recommend Quicken/Rocket as they live up to their name. Janet - jhsealy@***.com
