We had our home flooded by hotwater heater..state farm paid the claim..we sent the check to shellpoint mortgage..we have demoed everything we did the cleanup..and was told if our mortgage was up to date we could do self repair which would take a week floors baseboards and bottom kitchen cabinets. My loan is up to date..but because i was in a modification program where i paid 3 months on time i would be current they said i was still considered behind..at the time of the flood they want a contractor that will take weeks..i need my floors done before i get tpo far in my cancer treatment..i was just diagnosed with stage 4 cancer.our home needs to be sanitary for me to be here.theyy wont even pay us for the demo and cleanup we did.
